IRIS-linked Master’s students awarded at the COEIC Diada 2026

Master’s graduates connected to IRIS research groups have received Young Innovation Awards for their final Master’s projects at the annual celebration of the Barcelona Industrial Engineers Association.
At the 2026 Diada of the Col·legi d’Enginyers Industrials de Catalunya (COEIC), held at the Sant Pau Modernista Site, several Master’s students linked to IRIS were among the winners of the Young Innovation Awards. These awards recognise the best Master’s theses from Catalonia’s industrial engineering schools.
The recognised projects cover a wide range of topics, from needle-free vaccination for pigs and sodium batteries for implantable medical devices to rehabilitation, renewable energy, Alzheimer’s disease and fuel cells.
IRIS congratulates the awarded students, as well as their supervisors and research groups, on this recognition of their work and of the quality of the training and research environment they have been part of.
The Diada also honoured IDP, Eloi Planes, Nissan Technical Center Barcelona, Miquel Casals and the 3Cat news services, as well as the collective of industrial engineers.
